COACH Jason Steinicke
Jason grew up training his summers in Munich going to hockey & skating camps. Jason was a hockey coach and skating instructor at the Oakland Ice Center for 5 years. There he coached hockey from Peewee to Midget AA including the Midget women's hockey program. He worked closely with the Jr. Sharks program to integrate their hockey development. Jason coached the hockey skating program for kids and adults very much like the skating program we have now for power skating. Jason students were as young as 5 and as old as 70 and he maintained a regular return of most students.
Jason coached from Initiation upward at VMHA while his son grew through the ranks there as a rep goalie.
Currently Jason is assisting as a goalie coach for a couple of U11 teams.
Jason likes to focus on the small details of skating to provide proper form with everyone learning at their own pace.
Jason really just wants to be on the ice helping players grow.
