Power Skating & Skills for Hockey or Ringette @ Chilliwack Coliseum
Program Information
Week #1 – March 17, 18, 19 (Three one-hour classes) – Chilliwack Coliseum Secondary Rink
- March 17 and 19
- 6:30 to 7:30 pm – Monday and Wednesday
- March 18
- 7:45 to 8:45 pm – Tuesday
Week #2 – March 26, 27, 28 (Three one-hour classes) – Chilliwack Coliseum Primary Rink
- 7:15 to 8:15 pm – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

- Hockey: U7 & U9
- Hockey: U11 & U13
- Ringette: U8 & U10
- Ringette: U12 & U14
General Information
Warrior Progressive Power Skating and Skills is designed for players to learn the proper skating techniques to increase speed and agility. Coaches will cover agility for maneuvering and deception, sudden stops and explosive starts, techniques to increase speed, power and evasiveness while controlling the ring or puck. Skills sessions could include, stick-handling, passing, shooting and puck/ring protection.
Prerequisite:
- Student has taken and/or has advanced out of Hockey/Ringette Fundamentals, or Academy of Skating Tot or Youth GOLD. Students must be able to complete all the Intro to Power Skating skills.
Equipment: Full hockey or ringette equipment is required including BNQ neck guards, CSA approved Hockey or Ringette helmet with cage and hockey or ringette stick.

Skates, shin pads, hockey socks or ringette pants, gurdle or hockey pants, jock or jill, shoulder pads, elbow pads, jersey, gloves, hockey or ringette bag, tape and water bottle.
